Keep reading to see what we've been doing in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving!   Thanksgiving Lunch   Our Day Program celebrated Thanksgiving with our annual Thanksgiving Lunch at The Arc Caddo-Bossier's James Conly Center! We enjoyed delicious food and fellowship. Members of The Arc Caddo-Bossier staff served lunch to, and then ate and visited with, those who receive services through our Frost Industries and Conly Day Program. We would like to thank Brooks May and Greg Lott, members of our Foundation Board of Trustees, for joining us at lunch! The Arc Caddo-Bossier’s number is CFC# 55406   The Arc US National Convention   Our Marketing Director Casey Jones just returned from The Arc's National Convention in Charlotte, NC! He can be seen pictured with the team from South Louisiana's The Arc East Ascension. The Arc’s National Convention is an unmatched opportunity to connect and learn with advocates, professionals, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families.   Mystic Krewe of Imani   We were excited to welcome back the Mystic Krewe of Imani to our Conly Day Program and Frost Industries last week! For this visit, Alicia Shaw, the Duchess of Promise for the Mystic Krewe of Imani, spoke to our Conly Day Program participants. We would like to thank them for visiting!   The State Fair of Louisiana   Members of our Community Life Engagement (CLE) groups recently attended The State Fair of Louisiana! They enjoyed delicious fair food, feeding the animals, and other fun fair activities!   Shreveport-Bossier Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast   The Arc Caddo-Bossier was honored to attend the 44th Annual Shreveport-Bossier Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast! The event was held at the Shreveport Convention Center. We got to hear inspirational messages from Bossier City Mayor Tommy Chandler, Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux, and keynote speaker, Judge David Matlock, the Confidential Advisor to the new Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services. Located in the Highland neighborhood in Shreveport, LA, The Arc Caddo-Bossier's Goldman School and Child Development Centers are Type III, four-star licensed child development centers for children ages 8 weeks through 5 years old. Children with and without disabilities are given the opportunity to grow and learn together in a year-round program.
