The Arc Caddo-Bossier Foundation maximizes the mission and ensure the financial stability of The Arc Caddo-Bossier and its affiliates by:
Generating and accepting contributions
Creating and administering funds
Supporting new, innovative and on-going programs
About Our Foundation
The Arc Caddo-Bossier Foundation was established in 1997. It began with a $25,000 donation made by Mr. Jim Elrod, then President of Willis-Knighton Health System, to establish the Tommy Turner Endowment Fund. Tommy Turner and his family were long-time friends of Mr. Elrod. Tommy had been with The Arc since it was founded 1954, receiving services as a child and as an adult. His parents were among the pioneer families responsible for starting The Arc Caddo-Bossier. They were very involved in human service activities to promote community involvement and programs for people with disabilities. Today, The Arc Caddo-Bossier Foundation has a volunteer Board of Trustees from the community.
