Love on the Spectrum’s Dani Bowman Shines as we Celebrate Leaders |
The Arc Caddo-Bossier’s Leadership Luncheon is an annual event celebrating local, state, and national leaders who value people with disabilities and make decisions that prioritize services to our most vulnerable citizens. This year was extra special as we welcomed keynote speaker Dani Bowman, from Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum! Dani was joined by self-advocates who courageously shared their stories, a Goldman School grandmother who reminded us why this work matters at every generation, and a list of sponsors who helped us raise critical funds in support of our mission. Click the image above to watch a beautiful video highlighting the event and celebrating our local “architects of inclusive communities.”
Thank you to our sponsors! |

Noel Foundation & Goldman Schools Celebrate Centennial of Winnie-the-Pooh |
Volunteer readers visited both locations of The Arc Caddo-Bossier’s Goldman School and Child Development Centers to share stories from A.A. Milne’s 100 Acre Wood with our preschoolers. The children and volunteers heard from Dr. Alexander Mikaberidze of LSUS and the Noel Collection who brought a 100-year-old original copy of Winnie-the-Pooh for show-and-tell! This special visit showcased The Arc Caddo-Bossier’s partnership with the Noel Foundation, which has been supporting children’s services at The Arc for more than 3 years. Thanks to First Methodist Church Shreveport, every child went home with a Pooh Bear book of their own. Afterward, our team and board toured the Noel Collection at LSUS’ Noel Memorial Library, which offers free public tours (call 318-798-4161).
