Last week The Arc Caddo-Bossier’s Executive Director, Kristen Powers, our Director of Employment and Habilitation Services, Demetrio Botello, and an employee from Frost Industries, Richard, visited Capitol Hill for SourceAmerica’s Grassroots Advocacy Conference! In addition to learning advocacy strategies, our team was able to meet with legislators and share our mission of building unlimited opportunities for people with disabilities! #SourceAmerica #DisabilityAdvocacy #DisabilityEmployment

The Arc Caddo-Bossier partners with the AbilityOne program, through SourceAmerica (Central Nonprofit Agency), which leverages federal contracting to help individuals earn wages, participate in their communities, and develop skills that can be marketed in other sectors. Many of these individuals are served through Frost Industries, the employment division of The Arc Caddo-Bossier.

Through AbilityOne funding, 42 workers with disabilities participate in employment through Frost Industries, finding meaningful careers across three primary departments: linen services, custodial services, and postal services. #AbilityOne #SourceAmerica
