More than 500 volunteers from businesses and organizations across Northwest Louisiana spent Thursday, May 14 giving back to the community during United Way of Northwest Louisiana’s annual Day of Caring. Volunteers from David Raines Community Health Center came to the Conly Day Program to engage with us! Bingo, basketball, painting, dancing, karaoke, and more took place, and a great time was had by all. We are grateful for the many volunteers who joined us and all are welcome to come back any time! We love having visitors at our day program!

Teacher Appreciation Week |
Teacher Appreciation Week at both of our Goldman School campuses was filled with gratitude, delicious meals, and thoughtful surprises for our teachers and staff.
Special thanks to our Parents of Goldman School (PoGS) for leading the way with bags, gift cards, and other special items. Parent, Dany Martin, sponsored Nothing Bundt Cakes. Parents, Kristen Hudson and Tanna McAteer, volunteered their time to help serve this week.
We are also grateful to Cole Jackson with Dillas Quesadillas for catering our lunch and Melvin Nelson of Chef Mel: Chef Services for catering breakfast. Because of you Teacher Appreciation Week was extra special for our Goldman teams! |

Xforce National Conference |
Members of our Frost Industries employment services team attended SourceAmerica’s Xforce National Conference. Archie Perkins, Contracts Manager, Demetrio Botello, Director of Employment and Habilitation Services, and Chris Hackler, COO, were able to connect with Daniel Caridi, the Co-Founder and CEO of Kibu, and Billy Blanks Jr, one of the main coaches on Kibu.
The Arc Caddo-Bossier is successfully using Kibu in our Conly Day Program to keep people active, engaged, and acquiring new job skills training. We have used their classes on financial management, social skills, and employment-readiness, and our participants also enjoy their live exercise classes. We are grateful for Kibu because it has created new opportunities for the people we serve!

Our Community Homes residents and staff joined law enforcement agencies from across Northwest Louisiana for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Louisiana. We are proud to participate and support such a meaningful cause! |
Mr. Danny Johnson, QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) was honored during this year's Torch Run. Danny has coached Special Olympians for years now, and the mayor's office made an official proclamation recognizing his dedication to the people we serve, his leadership, and his support of the Community Homes' residents. Danny will be retiring this year, so during the proclamation, he held the torch for the last time. Although we will miss him, we are so grateful for Danny's commitment to our mission and his impact on our organization.
